We have been learning about the legends from our maerae. We have been learning to retell stories.
Once upon a time there was a sky father called Rangi that had 4 sons that oldest names Aoraki. Aoraki had 3 yonger brothers one was called Rakioroa the other 2 brothers are called Rakirua the other brother is called Rarakiroa.
One day the sky father fell in love with Paptuanuku so the 4 sons went to see what the big fus was about the oldst son did not like the earth mother.
The four sons went out to find more land but all they could find was sea. A storm started they thought that it was there father talling them to come home but it was getting colder so they said the karakia but they said the karakia wrong the waka started to sink up the brothers went on top of the waka and hudled together and turned into stone and who they are now are the southern alps.
Hi Tyler I think you did really well on it and you put lots of full stops and you were describing a lot of words. Well done Tyler, I have a question for you Tyler could you make your story bit longer please. I think you could work on your spelling. see you later
